Agualarm Privacy Policy
Effective September 26, 2026
Agualarm is designed so that there is nothing to collect. This page explains exactly what the app does with information on your phone, in plain language.
The short version
- Agualarm does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.
- There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no server. The app never connects to one of ours.
- Camera frames are analyzed on your phone and discarded. They are never uploaded.
Camera
The morning check uses the rear camera to recognize your water bottle. Frames are processed on the device with Apple's Vision framework and are not stored, except as described under "Bottle photos." The camera is only active on the check screens and the bottle setup screen, and you can see when it is on.
Bottle photos
During setup you take a few photos of your bottle. The app may also keep a small number of frames from checks that passed, so it recognizes your bottle better over time. These photos stay in the app's private storage on your phone. They are never uploaded, and you can delete them at any time from the Bottle tab. Deleting the app deletes them.
Alarms
Alarms are scheduled through Apple's AlarmKit and managed by iOS. The app stores your alarm times and settings on your phone only.
Motion
The app reads the phone's orientation from the motion sensors to confirm you are holding it upright during a check. This data is used in the moment and not recorded.
Event log
The app keeps a small local log of what happened during checks: timestamps, which step passed or failed, and recognition scores. It contains no images and no personal details. It stays on your phone unless you choose to send it to us with a problem report from Settings, in which case it travels as an attachment in an email you compose and send yourself.
Purchases
If the app offers an optional one-time purchase, it is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Children
Agualarm does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your choices
- Camera and alarm permissions can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings. The app will explain what stops working.
- Bottle photos, learned frames, and the event log can be deleted from inside the app.
- Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, we don't expect that to happen often.
